Open Mic 2016

June 15th we held our second Open Mic event. Over 40 pitchers sended it in their ideas worth spreading. It was a though decision, but we selected 16 potential TEDx speakers for you that pitched their 3 minute mini-TEDx talk. After we put them through some serious bootcamp with our TEDx speaker coaches, they where ready to shine! At the event the audience voted for their favorites. And we have not just 1 winner – we have 3 winners!

Sharing ideas, good food and sparkling drinks

We shared more than just ideas at the Open Mic. Also some great local food and drinks. Fooddock is a lovely indoor market with several food stands that serve all kinds of delicious dishes and bites. Before the pitchers kicked off and during the breaks there were famous burgers, Asian food, Mexican bites, pasta’s, veggie-food and frozen yoghurts all around.

Meet our pitchers

We have 16 pitchers with a variety of ideas worth spreading. Simon Drury flew over from the UK to share his idea about the Psychology of Control – but he wasn’t the only one from the UK. Neil Martin flew over as well, sharing his personal story of transformation from obese and sick to endurance athlete. And have you ever thought about treating your body the same way you treat your smartphone? Susan Verbeek learned us how to listen to your body. If you’re a student, you probably recognise the feeling of not being motivated. Well, those times are over. Boy Bouw explained how you can become a motivated student.
