Robin Effing is both a Social Media Lecturer at Saxion and holds an Ph.D. (doctorate) in social media. He’s specialized in social media strategies for Non-Profit communities, especially for churches, government and political parties.
Effing is leading the Social Media Participation research program at Saxion en is currently conducting mixed-method studies at the Roman Catholic Plechelmus parish, the Enschede council, and other member-based communities.
Before his academic career he helped countless organizations with making choices and defining strategies to face the online future as a management consultant, trainer and project manager. He has an educational background in Business Information Studies and Roman Catholic Theology. He loves to explore how Christian churches can adopt social technologies and change their communities to face the challenges of our contemporary time.
